BROOKLYN, Mich. — Kurt Busch earned his second victory in the last three NASCAR Nextel Cup races, winning the rain-delayed 3M Performance 400 on Tuesday at Michigan International Speedway.

Busch, who led four times for 92 laps, gives Penske Racing its second victory of the season.

The race, delayed two days by rain, was the first Tuesday race held by NASCAR in its modern era.

Even the start of Tuesday’s race had issues. It was scheduled to start at 10 a.m., but the green flag did not fall until 11:02 a.m. The cars did get on the track shortly after the start time — but under a green-yellow flag because of fog that enveloped the back straightaway, particularly Turn 3.

After 11 laps, NASCAR red-flagged the race until the fog had lifted.
